Biography

Jennifer’s extensive concertizing includes solo and chamber music performances coast to coast across the United States in renowned venues such as National Sawdust (NYC) as part of NextFest, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, Eugene’s Beall Hall (OR), and Bloomington’s Ford Hall (IN). A passionate and sought-after orchestral player, Jennifer performs with the Oregon Symphony, Eugene Symphony, Oregon Mozart Players, and Vancouver Symphony. She is currently a member of the Eugene Concert Orchestra, and previously held positions as assistant principal for the Newport Symphony, principal cellist with the Miami Music Festival — performing at the New World Center with the Miami Opera Orchestra — and as a member of the Evansville Philharmonic. With a highly skilled and adaptive playing style, Jennifer explores more nontraditional venues with the cello/bass quartet Porchello, a Portland-based group performing popular and movie music. She holds degrees from Indiana University, Boston Conservatory, and the University of Oregon, where she graduated as the “Outstanding Undergraduate in Strings.”

 

Committed to driving the impact and sustainability of mission-driven organizations, Jennifer served as the Development and Communications Manager for ALS Northwest for nearly three years, while also acting as the volunteer Website Coordinator for PROTESTRA, a non-profit orchestra that bridges the divide between advocacy and classical music. She was previously the Content Manager for Aligned Artistry, Oregon’s premier arts PR and strategy agency. Throughout these roles, Jennifer expands the impact of organizations through strategic funding and compelling brand

refinement while prioritizing projects that increase social equity. Her growth mindset, perceptive thinking, and clear communication are assets that inform both her strategic work and performance. 

A skilled chamber musician, Jennifer plays cello with a piano quintet. She's also a talented symphony musician.
